The DIA
Synopsis: The Detroit Institute of Arts was founded in 1885, the museum was originally located on Jefferson Avenue, but, due
to its rapidly expanding collection, moved to a larger site on Woodward Avenue
in 1927. Its hosts over 100 galaries in its 658,000 Square feet. It is umong the top 6 Gallaries in the U.S.
Analysis: On December 19, 2012 I took a trip with my classmates to the DIA. The first thing I saw when I walked in was the famous statue, The Thinker. As I traveled farther into the Institute I was greated by the warm feeling of happiness. I saw so many different galleries and some of the best were the ancient indian tribe, it had few remaining artifacts of the clothing and fabric they used back in those times. The DIA was a wonderful eye opening experience and I will definetley go back soon.
Good synopsis and well written. I hope you enjoye the trip.
